Elegant DIY Wedding Card with Stampin’ Up’s Cake Soiree Bundle

My adorable niece, Denali, is getting married and her wedding shower is this Saturday so I scoured Pinterest looking for something special and I fell in love with this, unfortunately I could not find the name of the creator, I’d like to thank her for sharing this online. The original creator of this card used a printed floral die cut included in the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit (now on my list of things I need), since I didn’t have the embellishments I created my own using the stamps and die cuts in the bundle. I love the simplicity and elegance of white on white designs and delicate silver heat embossed images add to the classic style of this beautiful card.

Card Recipe:

Paper:

  • Whisper White card base 8½ x 5½, scored at 4¼, 3¾ x 5 embossed with scattered sequins, cake, scraps for flowers (I heat embossed them and colored them with Stampin’ Write Markers
  • Marino Mist, scrap for die cut
  • Old Olive, scrap for die cut
  • Berry Burst, scrap for die cut
  • Silver Foil 5¼ x 4
  • Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (cake dish)
  • Delicate White Doilies
  • Metallic Foil Doillies

Stamp Set and Punch:

  • Cake Soiree Bundle (stamps & die cuts can be purchased separately, but you save 10% when you buy the bundle)
  • Classic Lable

Color:

  • Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker
  • Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Write Marker
  • Versa Mark ink pad
  • Silver embossing powder

Other:

  • Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder
  • Stampin’ Dimensional’s (I used these on the cake and flowers)
  • Snail Adhesive
  • Multi Purpose Liquid Glue (to attach leaf die cuts)

About the Author:

I am a proud mother of 4 and even prouder grandmother of 5. I started "stamping" over 25 years ago and stopped stamping about 10 years after that because I was so frustrated with my results. Enter Pinterest. Inspired by Pinterest and Youtube I got involved again and oh man am I obsessed! I fell in love with Stampin' Up products after seeing all the amazing cards on Pinterest. I chose Stampin' Up because I love how simple it is to make a gorgeous card with all their coordinating colors and products. Hope you enjoy my website.
