I just love making unique cards and one of my favorite techniques is the “pop through” card where you cut a slit in the front of the card, adhere a butterfly, dragonfly or something similar to the inside of the card directly below your cut, pull the wings through so that when you open the card your image appears on the inside.

I usually use the classic label punch for the hole in the top of the card, but I wanted the dragonfly to be at an angle so I just used a craft knife and ruler to make the hole and it was almost as easy as using a punch.

This card only took a few minutes to make and it’s so much fun!

The Paper Pumpkin kits have been arriving at my home in the middle of the month for over a year now and I have loved every one of them and the price is so reasonable at only $20.00/month (including shipping). The kits are complete with EVERYTHING you need to complete the projects on the instructions including adhesives, you don’t even need scissors. It’s easy to add some of your own supplies to change things up a little like I have. You can cancel anytime, and next month they promise an fun Halloween project, I can hardly wait!
