DIY Thank You Card Using Stampin’ Up’s Lovely As A Tree & Waterfront Stamp Sets

For an indoor city girl I sure have fun playing with landscape scenes. I made a “cloud” template on my Cricut and used it to make the clouds in the background with Soft Sky ink, next I stamped the trees with Garden Green and used one of the stamps from the Waterfront stamp set to create the “dirt” using Crumb Cake ink. The deer is from the Carols of Christmas Bundle and was stamped with Soft Suede (one of my all time favorites) then cut out with the coordinating die. I used a “dabber” to add Daffodil Delight behind the sun hoping to create an illusion of sun rays, and the sun & coordinating die are from the Sunshine and Rainbows Bundle. I added Wink of Stella to the sun for some sparkle.

Card Recipe:

  • Soft Suede card base, 11  x 4¼, scored at 5½

Stamp Sets & Framelits:

  • Waterfront
  • Carols of Christmas

About the Author:

I am a proud mother of 4 and even prouder grandmother of 5. I started "stamping" over 25 years ago and stopped stamping about 10 years after that because I was so frustrated with my results. Enter Pinterest. Inspired by Pinterest and Youtube I got involved again and oh man am I obsessed! I fell in love with Stampin' Up products after seeing all the amazing cards on Pinterest. I chose Stampin' Up because I love how simple it is to make a gorgeous card with all their coordinating colors and products. Hope you enjoy my website.
