This card is one of my favorites, it’s also one of a kind because it was created using scraps from several cards I’ve made over the past week. I created the background for the card below using an 8½ x 11 piece of water color paper, Brusho Crystal Colours. I wet the paper really well, sprinkled a little of each color then sprayed the paper using my Stampin’ Spritzer and played with it until I got the results I like, there is a link to the video making the original card below.

The side bar is a scrap left over on the side of the paper, I liked the colors so I just set the paper aside on my desk. The next day I was creating a card with the new Love What You Do stamp set, because I wasn’t sure how many of the flowers I would use, I heat embossed two of the flowers using Basic Black, then colored them with Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker and fussy cut them. The gold foil flowers were already sitting on my desk from something else. I had just tossed them aside, they wound up sitting similar to the way you see them above and a new inspiration was born.

Because the flowers were Petal Pink I chose that to be the background, I wanted the card to be simple so I used the Petal Pair embossing folder and used the Banners & More stamp set to create the banner. Not bad for a bunch of cast offs.
