The inspiration for this card comes from Fire Fig’s Cards by Sierra. I really want to be able to tell you that the birds have a “shadow” because I wanted them to look like they are flying, and if you squint real hard and look at them in the dark you might imagine that they are. The truth however is that I thought I could get a good image without using my Stamparatus, when I saw the images were incomplete I went over them again…don’t do this at home! Anytime you want a clear, crisp, bold image USE YOUR STAMPARATUS~especially when it is one of the finishing touches on a detailed card, okay enough raging. This card is really very simple and fast to put together, hope the information below helps you.

Instructions:

Begin by stamping the lady, then mask off the area for the sand. Create a mask for the lady and punch your circle on a post it note then cover the lady and place your circle where you want it. In a circular motion apply the soft sky with your sponge using a very light touch and go over and over it until you get the density you are looking for.

With the wave stamp from the High Tide set randomly stamp waves until you get the desired look.

Remove the mask from the bottom and use it to mask the water while you create the sand by using the same technique as the sky with Crumb Cake ink to create a light background, then use the large and small sand stamps from High Tide. Using Old Olive stamp grass randomly

Once you are satisfied with your sand remove all masks.

USING YOUR STAMPARATUS stamp the “I Love” and birds in the sky.

Line up the Y-O-U  where you want them, it helps to have a ruler placed where you want them lined up. Using art tape secure the letters where you want them I used Washi Tape and it tore the paper a bit so if you use Washi tape be sure it is not very sticky and run them through your Big Shot. In the example I used foam square the “pop up” the Y-O-U, but next time I’ll use Stampin’ Dimensional’s the foam tends to stretch and flatten a little when you run it through the Big Shot and I had to do a lot of trimming before I could attach them.

Attach your ocean scene to the Perfect Plumb with liquid glue making sure you glue around the areas where you cut out the Y-O-U.

Attach your letters with Stampin’ Dimensional’s & be sure to use liquid glue to adhere the center of the “O”.

Adhere your beautiful scene to the Whisper White card stock with Stampin’ Dimensional’s and you’re ready to go.
