Best Fishes with Stampin’ Up’s Jar of Love

Best Fishes

I was looking for an adorable card that was fast and easy for my card class last night when I came across Mary Brown’s “Best Fishes” card and fell in love. We made 3 projects last night and without even planning it we used the Classic Label Punch in every one, such a great staple for your collection of tools!

Embossing folders add so much character to a card and they are so easy to use, my problem is I always forget to use them until I’ve finished my card thinking…”dang that would have been so cool using and Embossing Folder”. The Seaside folder is so perfect for this card it was a huge hit with all my friends at the class.

I heat embossed the mason jar using my Stamparatus with Black Memento, Versa Mark and clear embossing powder. I punched a small hole in each side of the mason jar, using my size 6 crochet hook I pulled the Basic Black twine through, attached the tag and tied a bow. I used small acrylic dots for the bubbles coming from the mouth of the fish before I realized they are retired;/ I used Black Nuvo drops to add dimension to the eye of the fish, that can be purchased on line or in a craft store.

About the Author:

I am a proud mother of 4 and even prouder grandmother of 5. I started "stamping" over 25 years ago and stopped stamping about 10 years after that because I was so frustrated with my results. Enter Pinterest. Inspired by Pinterest and Youtube I got involved again and oh man am I obsessed! I fell in love with Stampin' Up products after seeing all the amazing cards on Pinterest. I chose Stampin' Up because I love how simple it is to make a gorgeous card with all their coordinating colors and products. Hope you enjoy my website.
