Beautiful Friend

I saw this card by Becky Jenson on Pinterest and it took my breath away! Couldn’t wait to give it a try! Stampin Up’s Beautiful You is a 13 piece stamp set that is so incredibly versatile. I’ve used this set for birthdays, congratulations, to cheer up a friend, for reasons to celebrate and just because. I’ve really enjoyed playing with the water color image stamps you can use to add color to the dresses on the ladies, I’ve never been much for water colors but the more I play with it the more I love it!

This card only took minutes to make, especially because I got the idea from someone else so most of the work was already done for me (thank you Becky). A couple of stamps, a couple of passes through the Big Shot and BAM! For the dress I stamped the image on some floral paper from A Whole Lot of Lovely DSP, cut it  out and placed it over the image I stamped on the Whisper White card stock. A Whole lot of Lovely paper is retired but there are lots of beautiful florals in the Garden Impressions DSP, check it out.

Card Recipe:

  • Very Vanilla 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 scrap

  • Garden Impressions DSP, scrap for dress

About the Author:

I am a proud mother of 4 and even prouder grandmother of 5. I started "stamping" over 25 years ago and stopped stamping about 10 years after that because I was so frustrated with my results. Enter Pinterest. Inspired by Pinterest and Youtube I got involved again and oh man am I obsessed! I fell in love with Stampin' Up products after seeing all the amazing cards on Pinterest. I chose Stampin' Up because I love how simple it is to make a gorgeous card with all their coordinating colors and products. Hope you enjoy my website.
